Why only January 2017?
We are finishing a contract in TN and are exploring some options for the middle TN region during this time. Please check out our deeply discounted 3D Scanning/Photogrammetry work for the month as well.
What does the rental provide?
Everything but space, power and an Internet connection (Internet not required, but strongly recommended). A large collection of VR experiences (games, videos, social programs) and staff who knows how to administer each of those experiences.
Our 2017 January rentals include one (1) computer with an 'HTC Vive' and one (1) computer with an 'Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers'. Other VR grear, such as the Samsung Gear VR may be available for demonstration.
We have approximately 25-100 paid VR experiences for each VR machine
What do you mean by 'curated' VR experiences?
We have a massive library of games, videos and general VR experiences that we can recommend and set up for your event. Our various projects at Synchronous Enterprises help keep us in-the-know of what experiences fit your needs the best. We've performed over 500 hours of demonstrations on the HTC Vive alone, so we find how VR will add, not detract, from your main event.
What sort of computers do you use?
We go well above the 'minimum specs' for our VR computers with an Intel 4ghz quad core, 16GB or more of ram and an NVidia 980Ti or higher video card. We believe computers running 'minimum specifications' for VR can introduce unneeded nausea in some experiences.
What sort of space is required?
We strongly recommend clearing at least an 12x10 foot space for each HTC Vive that is rented and as much as 15x15 for maximum play area with our equipment. Indoor areas are required.
Depending on the event, we recommend planning a space where spectators will be standing or interacting with the VR experience.
What else comes with the rental?
Single day rentals come with at least eight hours of on site expertise (set-up and break down of the systems typically take about two hours). Rigging, taping and other essentials are all included. You are, however, strongly encouraged to have a TV or projector with an HDMI port available for each computer so spectators can join in on the fun.
